Well here are a few things you might see out there:

HBO’s “Tell Me You Love Me”-The Complete First Season

Product Description (according to Amazon anyway)
Sex. Life. This is the story of three couples trying to stay afloat – and one woman’s efforts to show them how to do it. HBO’s newest adult drama series explores issues of intimacy – through the point of view of a 20-something couple, prenumpital concerns and fidelity are examined, while the series’ 30-something couple confront their failed attempts to start a family, coping with the effects it has on their sex life. And after two kids and 12 years of marriage, a couple in their early 40s question why their love and devotion hasn’t translated into physical intimacy in nearly a year. Tell Me You Love Me explores the telling, everyday moments that can make or break a couple’s commitment to one another, both emotionally and physically. –Amazon Editor

In other words, it’s a dirty show filmed in an artsy hipster type style. Because it’s an HBO show, it’s going to cost you more than say the first 3 seasons of Mama’s family. Of course, you’ll probably pay for it because despite the genius that is Bubba, the only skins he ever hit were a set of drums.

Dallas – The Complete Eighth Season

Product Description
(according to Amazon anyway)

Dallas fans just can’t get enough of the Ewings. So Season 8 brings cousin Jamie Ewing, a blonde, blue-eyed little cupcake with a big, fat claim on the oil empire. And it brings a new face: Oscar Academy Award winner* Donna Reed stepping gracefully into Miss Ellie’s high heels while an ailing Barbara Bel Geddes recovers. And, of course, it brings a gusher of high-tension, high-finance drama: three corpses, one murder trial, weddings, breakups, adultery, medical traumas, kidnapping, lies, long-forgotten secrets and sudden wealth. That’s not all, not by a Texas Longhorn shot. The season ends with that dynamic Dallas classic, a wow-did-you-see-that cliffhanger. –Amazon Editor

Basically this is the season where we’re duped into morning the death of Bobby (Too many soap suds in the eyes), but more specifically find out how messed up a mind Pam has. A mind powerful enough to dream up a whole season of seriously messed up things. The kind of stuff that not only made many a therapist car’s payments but also makes for future dream spoofs on other shows.

Clip after the jump:

And they say you can’t buy dreams–HA! If you grab this season of Dallas, you’ll own one heck of a nightmare.

The Wiz (30th Anniversary Edition w/ Bonus CD) (1978)

Product Description (according to Amazon anyway)
Ease on down the yellow-brick road with the 30th Anniversary Edition of The Wiz, starring superstars Diana Ross and Michael Jackson! Relive all of the magic of this beloved musical when Dorothy is whisked away to the enchanting wonderland of Oz, where she encounters the Scarecrow, the Tinman and the Lion. The Wiz features spectacular musical numbers from legendary producer Quincy Jones and an all-star cast including Lena Horne, Richard Pryor, Nipsey Russell and Ted Ross. With a digitally remastered picture and the unforgettable soundtrack in new 5.1 surround sound, it’s an experience of the land of Oz unlike anything you’ve seen before!

I don’t know if i really can sum this up in one felt swoop. I haven’t seen the movie(which is crazy considering the fact that it’s famous for bombing and I do loves me a train wreck movie), and the clips I have seen only leave me with questions about “The Wiz” or rather the scarecrow character…

Why does M.J. have sausage wings? And why did everyone think his acting was “genuine,” when he’s clearly using some kind of incantation to summon the spirit of Penny (Janet Jackson on “Good Times”)…Unless of course it IS Penny under those sausages. One of them early “wardrobe malfunctions”? Hmmm…

Ease on into a clip:

I’m probably not going to buy any of these DVDs, but if you do, I hope you consider letting me watch them sometime.

See you next Tuesday,
